Mission
Scout & Magpie is Lake Lenore's Community Thrift Store. It was born from a desire to do more. It is a community space to repurpose, re-use, treasure hunt and add character and charm to your life.
Scout and Magpie came from the idea that when you are thrifting, you’re looking for something and picking it. Magpies are nature's nature's treasure seekers. They scout to find their treasures. So ‘Scout and Magpie’ was born out of the idea for thrifters to scout, look and find all the wonderful repurposed items we receive.
Thrifting at Scout & Magpie is not only great for the environment, it's main purpose is to generate income to give back to Lake Lenore and area in a big way. Our goal is to provide enriching opportunities by way of programming for people of all ages and backgrounds. We hope to support local community programs, particularly those supporting youth and mental health and wellness. Revenue generated will fund community initiatives such as Personal & Professional Development, First Aid/CPR, Stay Safe, Youth Camps, Sport & Recreation Programs, Mental Wellness Sessions, and much more.
Donations
Scout your garages, closets, garden sheds and toy bins. Donations are accepted during operating hours. We accept any and all household items, furniture, and gently worn clothing that you would like to donate to the community thrift store.
We ask that you do not donate the following items:
* Broken Items
* Stained, Ripped or Well Worn Clothing
* Items with Missing Pieces
* Hazardous Materials
Volunteers
Volunteering at Scout & Magpie provides a fulfilling opportunity to actively contribute to building community and fostering connections while giving back to the organization and those it serves. If you would like to volunteer, please email Candice Bauer, Owner & Operator of Scout & Magpie.

Fridays: 10am - 5pm
Saturdays: 9am - 12pm
